Sebastian The Hamster was recovered from his secret hiding place last week. The Feeder presumes that Sebastian went to his special spot to peacefully pass away. Sebastian was a very lovely hamster and all his aunties, uncles and especially The Feeder miss him.

Whilst the Feeder and Auntie Sabrina were away having fun in Carmel, I played. I managed to escape and made it to my special place in the bathroom. Naturally I shredded the toilet tissue and stuffed it in there. The only thing is that it seems a bit damp... maybe I chewed something that I shouldn't have.

Goodbye Dear Polly

Polly the ex-Parrot is finally leaving our household. She's been promised many things since flying to her death in September 2004. Polly was almost rocket launched off Coit Tower; left in a movie theater and floated down Russian River in a funeral pyre. But now her time has come. The Feeder and Auntie Sabrina are taking Polly to Carmel this weekend, where she will finally break free of the freezer and rest happily on a beautiful white beach. I wish I could go too. Being left behind sucks.

The Feeder is Getting Old

The Feeder keeps falling asleep on the sofa watching TV when I am running around the apartment. This means I get more time to try and get into the special place in the bathroom. Last night I stuffed my cheeks full of bedding and food, hoping the Feeder would forget to close the door. I will succeed soon. The Feeder is getting older and sleepier.

Auntie Totty is going to look after me over Thanksgiving as the Feeder is going to New York and London. I hope she feeds me some real American food - like pumpkin pie and that sweet potato and marshmallow stuff. The Feeder refuses to eat Thanksgiving food, but Auntie Totty is much more sophisticated. She even wears trendy green eyeliner. I can't wait to spend quality time with her.

I'm not yet two years old and yet I am on cage number three (aka Cage 3.0). This one combines the functionality of Cage 2.0, with additional layers for me to perch on. I am hoping that the Feeder gets me some more extensions -- frankly, one penthouse isn't enough. She also needs to stop playing Radiohead. No wonder I run away.
